Celebrating 10 Years of Wild Earth Expeditions

We cannot believe that it has been 10 incredible years of leading our Wild Earth Explorers on fantastic expeditions to some of the most unique, remote, and beautiful places on this planet.

This year was no exception, as we have shared so many life-changing experiences and wonderful memories. Few that come to mind are exploring the vibrant reefs teeming with sharks in Sudan and Egypt's Red Sea; visiting the ancient Pharaonic sites and sailing down the Nile in style; spending hours in the water on the Great Barrier Reef with dozens of curious Minke whales at times only an arms length away; getting very close to an Oceanic Whitetip shark, being amidst hundreds of Grey reef sharks, graceful Manta rays and a singing Humpback whale in French Polynesia; climbing the pilgrims path up to the Tigers Nest temple in Bhutan.

Our Wild Earth team has also had some personal highlights this year: Natalia saw her first Tiger in the wild and enjoyed a spiritual journey to Bhutan with our great friend Tshering. Thomas ventured to Sudan on a successful scouting expedition and was mighty impressed with Lisa showcasing and leading a trip around Egypt and her home, the Sinai. Indonesia has been on Lisa's "Bucket-list" for a very long time, she is exploring many of the places we love traveling to. In fact, she loves it so much, she's making the big move from Egypt to Bali early next year. Our daughters Estelle and Coco are doing great, keeping us on our toes, prospering at school, and traveling with us to exotic places. This year we enjoyed a family camper trip along the Great Ocean Road and visited Kangaroo Island, home to many of Australia's endemic star animals. Many of our Wild Earth Explorers will be happy to hear that after 2 years of seemingly never-ending house renovations, our house is finally done, and Thomas doesn't have to "whinge" about it any longer ;-)

Our dream has always been to create intimate and personal encounters into the natural world and giving our Explorers unrivaled service and life-changing experiences. With all our 2019 and 2020 adventures sold out, and many of our 2021 tours already waitlisted, things are going great, and we are looking forward to exploring new parts of the world including Scotland, the Azores, new destinations in India and Ecuador, as well as some old favorites like Indonesia, Fiji, Tonga, Truk Lagoon, Philippines, and Palau.

It is heart-warming and extremely gratifying to reflect on the many friendships and bonds that we have created over the last 10 years and to see the delight and emotions of our Explorers when they recall their unforgettable memories on our expeditions. It inspires and motivates us as we continue to strive and create new and exciting adventures. Many of our explorers have now reached 10 or more trips, which is very special and means a lot to us.

As another year comes to a close, we continue to be humbled by the fact that we get to share our love and passion for the natural world with amazing people from all over the globe. We will always be extremely grateful for the opportunity to do this.
